Milton E. Candee, 86, of Forestport, NY, passed away on Saturday October 21, 2017. Milt was born and raised in Phoenix, NY, and lived there for 50 years until his transfer to Cincinnati, OH, then Fort Wayne, IN. He worked for GE for 40 years until his retirement in 1991 as a Senior Value Engineer. Milt was also an active member of the 1st Cong regational Church in Phoenix for many years, and a five year member of the NYS National Guard.


Milt was predeceased by his brothers Wilson and Lynn; a sister Winifred. He is survived by Marian, his loving wife of 65 years, children Sue Candee, Sandy Pietrowicz, Kathy Stratton, and Marty (Mary Ann) Candee, 14 grand children, 12 great-grandchildren, brother Irving Candee, sisters Joyce (John) Godfrey and Marjorie (Bill) Godfrey, and many nieces and nephews.


Calling hours are Tuesday October 24, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. with an 11 a.m. funeral service all in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix, NY 13135.


Burial following the service in Phoenix Rural Cemetery.
