Obituary for Stephen V. Bracco

Stephen Victor Bracco, 72, of Fulton, NY, passed away at University Hospital, Syracuse NY on Monday November 21, 2022. Born in Newburgh, NY on July 29, 1950 to his Mother Margery (Green) and his late Father Victor Joseph Anthony Michael Bracco, Jr.. In his youth he was very active in Boy Scouting. He was a Sr. Patrol Leader, participated in various scout camping trips, thus earning his Eagle Scout Award.
These character building tools propelled Stephen to continue to learn and build his skill sets. He held a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, working for a tile manufacturer. He expanded his knowledge and continued interests by joining the research team at International Nickel Company out of Toronto, Ontario Provence, Canada. He also was in quality control for a truck parts manufacturing company, and later became a long haul truck driver as a independent contractor over the roadways throughout the United States. Expanding his many talents, Stephen was a designer and builder of quality homes during his career. He also was selected as a contractor by the State of New York to build a bridge in New York City.
Though he was mostly focused on his work ethic, Stephen found the time be involved with the game Rugby. He was a player for 25 years with the White Plains Rugby football team. The team's preparation and hard work earned them the title one year as the reigning U. S. National Rugby Champions.
Surviving are his mother Margery (Green) Bracco; his two sisters, Nancy K. (Bracco) Curtis of Camden, NY, and Victoria Jean Bracco of Phoenix, NY; his brother and sister-in-law, Michael Joseph Bracco and Judy (Decker) Bracco of; several nieces and nephews and cousins.
The family of Stephen will hold a Remembrance Gathering at a later date.
