Obituary for Sandra K. "Sandy" Eddy (Conrad)

Sandra "Sandy" K. Eddy, 81, of Upper St. Clair, PA passed away on January 31, 2023, with her family by her side. Born January 1, 1942, in Sidney, NY, she was the daughter of the late Durward and Pauline (Roberts) Conrad. Sandy was raised and educated in Phoenix, NY where she would eventually meet her husband. Sandy and Russell W. were married on September 3, 1960, in Central Square, NY. They were married for 55 years until her late husband passed in 2015 on the same date as they were married.

Sandy worked as a server at the Beaver Meadows Country Club, Woody’s Tavern, Pine Grove Tavern in the Phoenix, Fulton, NY, area prior to working for Chappell’s Clothier in Liverpool for 15 years. She was also an Avon in-home sales representative. Sandy lived in Phoenix for 50 years prior to moving to Port Charlotte, FL for 20 years, then to her son’s Michael and Juans home in 2019.

Sandy enjoyed cake decorating and working their antique booth at the summer flea-markets. She was an avid cruiser, collected toothpick holders, enjoyed Netflix and the Hallmark Channel, playing her favorite slot machines, and spending time with her family. She was a Lifetime Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Auxiliary #5540 in Phoenix, NY.

She is survived by her sons, Russell M. (Edna) of FL, and Robert Michael Eddy-Herrera (Juan) of Upper St. Clair, PA; and one daughter, Renee (Ron) Schaeffer of Sodus Point, NY; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; a brother Alan B. Conrad of Ocala, FL; and two sisters, Carolyn Reed of Bradenton, FL, and Dawn Curtis of Davenport, IA.

Visitation will be held at the Beinhauer Funeral Home in McMurray, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray Thursday Feb. 2, 2023 from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

*** A second visitation will be held at the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home in Phoenix, NY on Saturday Feb. 4th, From 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m..

A Spring 2023 burial will take place in the family plot at the Phoenix Rural Cemetery, 126 Chestnut Street, Phoenix, New York 13135.
