Samantha “Sammi” Palmer, 16, of Oswego, passed away on Sunday with her loving family by her side, after her courageous battle with cancer. Sammi was born on September 11, 2003. She attended both Mexico Central and Oswego City Schools. Sammi loved pickles, nature and animals. She had a particular fondness for Piggies and had a small collection of photos, stuffed animals, and ceramic knick-knacks. 

She is survived by her mother, Brandi “Bobbi” Palmer (Stoutenger) and Step-Father John House of Oswego; estranged father, Aaron M. Palmer of Oswego; sister, Destiny Palmer of Oswego; grandparents, Thomas, Sr. (Romaine) Stoutenger of Mexico, Laurie Palmer of Oswego, Randy (Kristina Barnes) Palmer of Mexico; great-grandmother, Natillie Palmer of Minetto; and nephews, Cyrus and Zayden Palmer of Oswego.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, Feb. 24, 11 AM at the New Haven Methodist Church, 4233 NY-104, New Haven, NY. Gathering of friends and family will take place immediately after at Hazzy’s Tavern, 4290 NY-104, New Haven, NY.
