Obituary

Rosamond S. Kane, 96, of Fulton, passed away on Sunday. She worked for Nestle in Fulton, making candy, while the men were away during WWII. Rosamond was the past president of the Jacksonville Rural Cemetery, belonged to the Home Bureau, and was a member of the Artisan Rug Hooking Guild, in Baldwinsville. When not involved in her various clubs, Rosamond adored the time spent with family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas C. Kane, Sr., in 1998; son-in-law, James Rushmore, in 2006; parents, John and Pearl Sperbeck; sisters, Geraldine (John) Matzke and Ethel Leonard; brothers, Harlow (Sara) Sperbeck and John Sprebeck, Jr.

She is survived by her children, Mary Ellen Rushford and Thomas (Mary) Kane, Jr.; grandchildren, Jennifer (Tony) Kowalski, Joseph E. Richmond, Michael (Kristen) Kane and Stacey (Joe) Hagopian; great-grandchildren, Joseph J., Ava, Abbey, Seth, Thomas and Morgan; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, Oct. 23, 4 - 7 PM, at Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix, NY. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, Oct. 24, 9 AM, at the funeral home; Pastor John Snow officiating. Burial will follow at the Jacksonville Rural Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Jacksonville Rural Cemetery, PO Box 193, Phoenix, NY.

The family would like to thank the staff at Loretto Cunningham, 4th floor, for the wonderful care they provided.
