Robert Allen Schreiner, 61, of the Town of Palermo, Fulton,
passed away on Wednesday March 11, 2015 after a long illness.
Robert is predeceased by his parents, Mildred A. (Schroeder)
and Edward P. Schreiner; his beloved dogs, Max and Gizmo.
Bob loved his Syracuse Orange Sports; the Buffalo Bills
football team; and he enjoyed fishing.
Surviving are his siblings Phil (Marie), Ruth (Butch), Pearl,
Mary (Emory) Ford, and Nancy Schreiner; as well as three
generations of nieces and nephews; also survived by his
work family, including Eric Francisco, whom he thought of
as a son; and a longtime neighbor, Frank Gravlin.
Robert worked for Crucible Industries, Solvay, NY for 41
years as a maintenance technician, and he was a mentor
to many employees.
Calling hours will be on Saturday March 14, 2015 from 2 to
5 p.m., with a funeral service to following the visitation, all
in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main
St., Phoenix, NY 13135. Pastor Stan Bennett from the
First Congregational, United Church of Christ will officiate.
