Richard Irving Summerville, 86, passed away at Loretto Health & Rehabilitation, Syracuse, NY on Sunday March 5, 2023. A life resident of the Lysander Hamlet, "Rich" was born on March 6, 1936 to his late parents, Theresa "Tessi" (Gohl) and Harry F. Summerville. Rich was a graduate of Baldwinsville Academy, Baldwinsville, NY. He later joined the U.S.A.F. serving active duty from January 1956 to January of 1960. Rich was a member of Vernice Suttle American Legion Post 113, Smokey Hollow Road, Baldwinsville.
Rich was employed by the Carrier Corporation, Syracuse for many years. He was an avid Bowler and Golfer.
Besides his parents Theresa on August 20, 1985 and Harry on September 7, 1972, he was also predeceased by his brother Edward E. on February 17, 1988; his sister Anna Belle Summerville on May 26, 1994.
Surviving are his his brothers Francis Summerville of Liverpool, and Charles Summerville of Lysander; his niece Debbie; his nephews Jim and Brian; and friends.
Graveside services with military honors are on Friday May 26, 2023 at 11 a.m. in Jacksonville Rural Cemetery Association, 9250 Fenner Road, (Phoenix address) Lysander Township, NY. The Rev.
