Richard L. “Whitey” Merritt, 81, of Fulton, passed away on Tuesday. He owned and operated Bonded Motor Sales in Fulton. Richard had a large presence in the automotive scene in Oswego and Onondaga county, participating in many auto shows and car cruises. He was predeceased by his sons, James L. Merritt in 2004, and Timothy M. Merritt in 2013, and brother; Walter Merritt in 2020.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Joan (Corey) Merritt; daughter, Maryann Merritt; grandchildren, Timothy, Anthony, Christopher, Charissa, Nicole; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Calling Hours will be held Monday, December 7, 2020, 4 PM - 7 PM, at Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix, NY 13135. Funeral Services will follow at 7 PM.
