Paul Douglas Church, 82, of Oswego Rd., Baldwinsville,

passed away on Tuesday October 1, 2013. Born in Syracuse

to his late parents, Dorothy (Eggleston) and Robert C.

Church on October 15, 1930. Doug was a graduate of

Baldwinsville Academy, class of 1948, and received his

bachelor of science degree from Cornell University, class of

1952. He entered the USAF, and was a pilot from 1952-1954.


Doug was the owner/operator of R. C. Church & Sons, a farm

equipment dealer located on Church Rd., town of Lysander;

later employed by the NYS Thruway Authority; and a sales

representative for Kaeser & Blair, Inc., Batavia, OH. Doug was

a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Baldwinsville, former

mason in the Seneca River Lodge; he was the youngest director

in the NYS Farm Equipment Dealers Association.


Predeceased by his brother, Robert E. Church in 1999.


Surviving are his loving wife of 61 years, Barbara E. (Kisselstein)

Church; one son, Clinton S. Church of Vienna, VA; two daughters,

Sarah Rasmussen of Baldwinsville, and Rebecca Bartlett of

Nantucket, MA; five grandchildren; two sisters, Beverly Depew

Roese of Naples, FL, and Susan Marris of Stuart, FL; several

nieces, nephews, and cousins; many friends.


Calling hours are on Friday October 4, 2013 from 5 to 8 p.m. in

the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 432 Main St.,

Phoenix, NY. Services are on Saturday at 11 a. m., October 5,

in the First Presbyterian Church, 64 Oswego St., Baldwinsville,

NY 13027, with the Rev. Stuart D. Hayes officiating. Burial will be

in Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville, at a later date at the

convenience of the family.
