Maureen Shirley (Suchewski) Walts, 76, of Palermo, New York passed away peacefully at home on Saturday November 28th, 2020. Born on March 15, 1944 in Syracuse, New York to Michael and Mary Suchewski. Maureen was employed by General Electric and Carrier for many years until her retirement. She took pleasure in bird watching, gardening and taking care of her elderly cat (19 years old) Sammy. She was a wonderful woman always willing to walk to the end of the earth for her family, and provide comfort to anyone in her path. She will be greatly missed.
Maureen is survived by her sons Gilman (Deborah) Walts and Steven (Cheryl) Walts; Grandchildren Steven (Kimberly), Sheryl, Adriana, Anthony (Marisa), Andrew (Kayla) and Austin Walts; brothers Frank (Jeanette) Suchewski; of Canastota, New York, and David (Mary) Suchewski of Pennellville, New York; Four nephews, two nieces and several grandchildren that she absolutely adored. Maureen was predeceased by her parents Michael and Mary Suchewski.
Calling Hours will be held Saturday, December 5, 2020, 10 AM - 12 PM, at Allanson Glanville Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix, NY 13135. A funeral service will follow at 12 PM. Interment at Roosevelt Cemetery, Pennellville, NY, will occur at a later date.
