Mary L. Narewski, 98, of Phoenix, NY,
passed away at Michaud Health Services,
Fulton, on Monday October 6, 2014. Born
in the Town of Schroeppel, Pennellville, to
her late parents, Mildred (Allen) and Egbert
Richardson on October 11, 1915. She was
a 1934 graduate of Phoenix High School.
Mary was an inspector for the General
Electric Co., Syracuse, retiring in 1971.
A parishioner of St. Stephen’s Catholic
Church, Phoenix, she served on the Altar
Rosary Society; and a member of the
Phoenix Senior Citizens group.
Predeceased by her husband, Stanley P.
Narewski on January 31, 1992; her sister,
Adelia E. Milligan on November 9, 2004;
her brothers, Allen Richardson and Henry
Allen.
Surviving are her two sons and their wives,
Allen P. and Rosemary J. Narewski of Phoenix,
Jan L. and Kay L. Narewski of Pennellville; four
grandchildren and their spouses, John and Jill
Narewski, Stacy and Brian Kubiak, Mary Jean
and Chris Kulle, and Katie and Forrest Warner;
five great-grandchildren, Kaelyn, Madelyn, and
Emersyn Kubiak, Emma Kulle, Jakub Narewski,
several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours are on Thursday October 9, from
4 to 7 p.m. in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan
Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix, NY 13135.
Services will begin on Friday October 10 at 9 a.m.
in the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass
at 10 a.m. in St. Stephen’s Church, 469 Main St.,
Phoenix, with the Rev. Philip Brockmyre officiating.
Burial in Phoenix Rural Cemetery, 126 Chestnut
St., Phoenix at the conclusion of the church mass.
