Obituary for Mary Lou "Red" Corey

Mary Lou “Red” Corey, 82, of Phoenix, passed away peacefully on Wed., Sept. 29, 2021. She was born
on March 21, 1939, to Norris F. “Tom” and Mary Louise (Sedner) Dunn, in Phoenix, NY; as one of
twelve children. She retired from Eagle Comtronics. Mary Lou enjoyed camping, fishing, and warm
cider and donuts around a campfire; loving the simple life. She was famous for her life counseling and
occasional blunt force trauma that all who knew her will remember fondly.

Mary Lou is predeceased by her husband, Malcom James Corey; siblings, Alice, Shirley, Paula, Arthur,
and Paul who passed shortly after birth.

She is survived by her children, Cathy, Mike and Mark; grandchildren, Stephanie, Allison, Taylor,
Brittany, Jayla, James; great-grandchildren, Teagan, Lucas, Emilia and Jackson; siblings, Douglas
“Butch”, Eleanor, Betty, Larry, Sheila and Terry.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021, 11 AM, at Jacksonville Rural Cemetery, Rev.
Bill Mudge presiding.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Upstate Cancer Center or Golisano Children’s
Hospital.
