Obituary for Mary E. Fryer

Mary E. Fryer, 97, life resident of Phoenix, NY passed away on Saturday Dec. 29, 2012. Born to her late parents, Ora V. (Dolbear) and Claude P. Wallace on December 28, 1915. Mary was a 1934 graduate of Phoenix High School. She was a fine homemaker. Predeceased by her husband, Avery F. Fryer in 1991; her daughter, M. Karen Thompson in 2003; her son-in-law, Jack I. Thompson in 2012; her grandson, Shawn I. Thompson in 1999; her brothers, Ralph and Karl; her sisters, Geraldine and Marjorie. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Keith L. and Diane Fryer of Baldwinsville; her grandchildren and their spouses, Dean and Andria Thompson, Jeremy and Melissa Fryer, and Karen and Michael Chapski; Diane Thompson, widow of Shawn; eight great-grandchildren, Kyle, Chad, and Allyson Thompson, Jenna and Taylor Fryer, Brandon Thompson, Thomas and Alexa Chapski; her brother, Earl “Bob” Wallace of Baldwinsville; her two sisters, Elizabeth “Betty” Ellsworth of Baldwinsville, and Eleanor Fisher of Fulton; several nieces, nephews.


Services are on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at 3 p.m. with calling hours before the service from 1 to 3 p.m. all in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix, NY 13135. Spring burial in Upson Corner’s Cemetery, 920 County Rt. 45, (Palermo) Central Square, NY 13036. Contributions in her memory to Phoenix Fire and Rescuse, or Phoenix Public Library.
