Obituary for Mary Margaret "Meg" Bullis (Colbert)

Mary Margaret "Meg" Colbert Bullis, 67, of Phoenix, passed away on February 27, 2021 at home surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer. Born on October 31, 1953, to George and Iva Colbert, Meg grew up in Phoenix and graduated from Le Moyne College. Meg married Mitchell Bullis in 1976 and had two sons.

Meg worked as an accountant and was an active member of her community. She was an avid supporter of the Phoenix Public Library and a 25 year member of the Century Club, a charitable organization that has supported and promoted the Phoenix Public Library. A supportive Mom, she was also an active member of the Phoenix Band and Colorguard Boosters as well as the Phoenix Sports Boosters. Meg enjoyed being with her family, and always enjoyed summers at the family camp in Colton, NY, on the Raquette River.

Meg is predeceased by her parents and brother, James Michael Colbert.

Surviving are her husband of 44 years, Mitchell Bullis, sons Martin Bullis, Stephen (Joanie) Bullis, grandchildren Clarence and Elizabeth Bullis, sisters Nora (Richard) Ostrander of North Syracuse, Catherine (Gary) Schaus of Liverpool and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Calling Hours will be held on Friday, March 5, 2021, 5:00 - 7:00 PM, at Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix, NY. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021, 11:00 AM, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 3494 NY-31, Baldwinsville, NY 1302.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Meg's honor to the Phoenix Century Club c/o the Phoenix Public Library or Hospice of CNY
