Mary Lou F. Brown, 82, of County Rt. 57,
Phoenix, NY, passed away at St. Joseph’s
Hospital, Syracuse on Monday September
22, 2014. Born in East Syracuse to her late
parents Lucille Goodrich Lawler and Martin
Lawler on October 19, 1931.
Mary Lou was a Line Operator for The Nestle
Corporation, Fulton, NY for many years. She
was an active parishioner of St. Stephen’s
Catholic Church, Phoenix.
Predeceased by her husband, Charles E.
Brown on January 21, 1990.
Surviving is her brother Richard Lawler of Florida and her two daughters and their
husbands, Cynthia L. and Douglas Claflin of
Palermo, NY. and Patricia M. and Thomas
Cook of Phoenix; one son and his wife, Charles
A. and Penney Brown of Edgewater, FL; seven
grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three
sisters, Jeanne M. Bills of Gulf Breeze, FL,
Vivian Cooper of Pennellville, and Jacquelyn
Caltabiano of New Smyrna Beach, FL; several
nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours will be on Friday Sept. 26, from
4 to 7 p.m. at the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan
Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix, NY 13135.
Services will be at 8:45 a.m. on Saturday at the
funeral home, with Deacon Frank Forish conducting
prayers. The funeral mass will follow at 9:30 a.m. in
St. Stephen’s Church, 469 Main St., Phoenix, with
the Rev. Philip Brockmyre officiating.
Burial will follow in Pennellville Cemetery, Co. Rt.
54, Pennellville, NY 13132.
