Mark J. Wallace, Sr., 54, of Phoenix, NY, passed
away on Thursday August 14, 2014. Born in Syracuse
to his late mother, Julie (Richardson) Wallace and his
father, Ronnie Wallace on Sept. 21, 1959. He was a
graduate of the J. C. Birdlebough High School, Phoenix,
class of 1978. Mark was the owner/operator of
Wallace’s Auto Repair Shop, Phoenix.
A parishioner of St. Stephen’s Church, Phoenix, a
multiple track champion at Fulton Speedway, Volney;
Hood Racing, Volney; and an avid sportsman.
Besides his mother Julie, who died in 2003, he was
also predeceased by his nephew, Mitchell in 1989; and
an uncle Randy Wallace in 2014.
Surviving are his two daughters, Andrea L. Wallace of
Phoenix, and Shelly Wallace-Byrd of Tucson, AZ; his
son, Mark J. Wallace, Jr. of Baldwinsville, his father,
Ronnie Wallace of Phoenix; his brother, Mitchell L.
(Denise) Wallace of Oswego; his sister, Michelle L.
Wallace of Phoenix; four grandchildren; an aunt, an
uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins.
Services are on Tuesday August 19, at 7 p.m. in the
Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St.,
Phoenix, NY 13135. Calling hours are Tuesday prior to
the funeral service from 4 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
Burial in Pennellville Cemetery, Schroeppel.
