Obituary for Margot Clonch (Kreisel)

Margot Clonch, 94, of Baldwinsville, formerly of Phoenix, passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021. She was born to Hermann and Gertrude (Krutsche) Kreisel, in Breslow Germany, on February 19, 1927. During WWII, Margot met Sterling Clonch, a soldier from West Virginia who would become the love of her life. Following the war, Sterling and Margot were promptly married and she immigrated to America; her parents would later join her. She worked as a hairdresser at Addis Company before establishing Margo’s Beauty Salon in Phoenix. During this time Margot developed a friendship that would last almost 50 years, with Cynthia Lamkay and her family. Margot was well loved for her sweet personality and easy going nature, and she cherished her family.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Carolyn C. Clonch in 1972; and her husband, Sterling Clonch in 1987.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews; and family in Germany.

A private service will be held at Phoenix Rural Cemetery.
