Marcia E. Owens, 76, of the town of Granby, (Fulton),

passed away on Friday March 9, 2018 at University

Hospital, Syracuse, NY. Born in Syracuse on June 9,

1941 to her late parents C. Ethel (Augustine) and Frank

Abbe Fay. She was a 1960 graduate of West Genesee

High School. Marcia was employed by Phoenix

Central Schools where she worked in the cafeteria.

Marcia was a member of the Taunton Memorial Presby-

terian Church, in Syracuse. She also was involved and

enjoyed her volunteer work with Aurora of CNY, Inc..

Marcia was an avid reader and loved to knit.

Predeceased by her husband of 17 years, Dale P. Owens

who died on March 28, 1986.

Surviving are her son Gerald P. Owens; her daughter

Susan E. Owens; her brother Francis “Jerry” Fay;

nieces; and friends.

Calling hours are on Tuesday March 13, 2018 from 4 to 7

p.m. in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home,

431 Main St., Phoenix, NY 13135. A funeral service

will begin at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Harold “Sandy”

Sanderson officiating. Spring burial in Belle Isle Cemetery,

located on Van Buren Road in the town of Camillus.
