M. Beatrice Vincent, 93, longtime resident of Phoenix, N. Y., passed away on Monday
August 29, 2016 at Syracuse Home Association, Baldwinsville, after a brief stay. Her
last place of residence was at Paddock’s Landing apartments on State St., Phoenix,
and prior to that she had resided many years on County Route 57, north of the village
.
Beatrice was born in Ogdensburg, NY to her late parents Lillian Besner and Fidal Blair
on October 26, 1922. She was employed at LaTourine Coffee Co., Syracuse and later
at Eagle Comtronics Co., Liverpool.
Beatrice was a parishioner of Saint Stephen’s Church, Phoenix, NY, as well as the
T.O.P.S. organization, Phoenix.
Beatrice was predeceased by her husband, Ivan H. Vincent on July 7, 1995; her
daughter Janet Truax on February 5, 2001; and her son-in-law Raymond Gary Truax
December 22, 2015.
Surviving are her daughters Patricia and son-in-law Rube Renfrew, Nancy and her
son-in Jim Crombach, and her son Ivan Mike and her daughter-in-law Zofia Vincent;
nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren.
Calling hours are on Tuesday September 6, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Allanson-Glanville-
Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix, NY 13135. Services are on the
following day, Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home, with Deacon Frank
Forish officiating. Burial to follow in Phoenix Rural Cemetery, 126 Chestnut St.,
Phoenix, NY.
