Lois E. (Mereweather) Merritt, 78, passed away on May 20,

2019. She was predeceased by her husband Joe, of 43

years.

She is survived by her daughters Pam Hansen (SC), Jo

(Terry) Merritt (GA), Melinda Merritt (SC), and Melanie

(Jerry) Meeks (NC; grandchildren Paige (Vinnie) Romanotto

(NY), Nicholas (Kelly) Hansen (SC), Jerry Meeks (NC);

great-grandchildren Cole Faircloth (SC), Lily & Harper

Romanotto (NY), and Aleia Meeks (NC).

Calling hours will be on Friday May 24 from 4 to 7 p.m.

in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main

St., Phoenix, NY 13135.

Funeral mass will be on Saturday May 25 at 9:30 a.m. in

Saint Stephen’s Church, 469 Main St., Phoenix, NY with

the Rev. Joseph E. Scardella officiating. Assisting Father

Scardella will be Deacon Jeffrey Dean.

Burial to follow in Phoenix Rural Cemetery, 126 Chestnut

Street.
