Born Nov. 4 1949 in Fulton, raised in Phoenix, NY where

of his life LuAnn Tanner August 6, 1994.

Larry served with the 82nd Airborne in Vietnam in 1968-1969 and his welcome home occurred on his 20th birthday, on his birthday always noting his age and the number of years home from Vietnam. Larry lived his life to the fullest, he rode a 1978 Harley

pilots license, and spending time boating. He particularly

enjoyed going for rides in his truck saying “if you don’t

go anywhere, you don’t see anything”.

American Legion Post #601; and Liverpool Elks #2348

where he spent nearly his entire membership serving

veterans, most recently as the VAVS for Syracuse VA

Hospital. Larry worked at Babbitt Bearings as a machinist

for nearly 30 years.

Larry is survived by his loving wife LuAnn; sister-in-law

Sally Bovee and her family in Tennessee; his nephew

Dalton Dobson of Phoenix; and several cousins; his dear

friends of the Breakfast Club at Bombadils Tavern and good

friends too numerous to mention. “Get in the Truck”

To honor Larry’s wishes, there will be no flowers at his

visitation. Instead he had asked to consider his wife, LuAnn,

should anyone desire to make a contribution to her in his

memory.
