L. Janet Allen, 69 of Granby (Fulton), NY, passed away at the Pontiac Nursing

Home, Oswego, NY on Monday February 22, 2016. She was born to her late

parents, Laura J. (Hurd) and Wayne M. Burton on November 7, 1946. Janet

was a graduate of the J. C. Birdlebough High School, Phoenix, NY, class of

1964.


She was a member of the Granby Fire Dept. Auxiliary, Granby; a member of

the Daughters of the American Revolution; and a committee member of BSA

Troop 722.


Besides her parents, Wayne in 1972 and Laura J. in 2005, she was also

predeceased by her brother Wayne Burton; sisters-in-law, Susan Burton

and Jean Burton.


Surviving are her two sons, David (Jill) Allen of Scriba, William (Tonya)

Allen of Fulton; three daughters, Melissa (Andrew) Lathrop of Fulton,

Traci Gardnier of Schenectady, NY, and Janean Allen of Fulton; 13

grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five brothers, Fred (Diane)

Burton, Jon Burton, Cecil “CY” Burton, Richard (Cindy) Burton, and Clark

Burton (Debbie); several nieces, nephews, and cousins.


Calling hours are on Thursday February 25 from 10 to 11 a.m. followed

by a church service all in the Calvary Baptist Church, 922 West First St.,

Fulton, NY. Pastor Chuck Holdridge will officiate the funeral service.
