Kathleen H. Galloway, 66, of N. Syracuse, former resident
of Liverpool, Pennellville, and Phoenix, NY, died peacefully
in her sleep on Tuesday September 24, 2013 at the Cortland
Regional Hospital, Cortland, NY. Kathleen was born on Sept.
9, 1947 in Syracuse, NY. She is predeceased by her parents,
Charles E. and Dorothy M. (Kaufman) Galloway and her
younger brother, Michael F. Galloway, all former Syracuse,
NY residents.
Kathleen was employed as office manager of Goldberg’s
Furniture in N. Syracuse for many years. She enjoyed cooking,
knitting and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a
former communicant of St. Michael’s Church, Central Square.
Survivors include her sons, Charles J. (Connie) Midlar, of
Phoenix, NY, and William J. (Mary) Midlar of Liverpool; daughters,
Carrie Lynn Midlar of Syracuse,and Holley Ann (James) Bradshaw
of Fulton; ten grandchildren; brothers, Charles Galloway of
Syracuse, Richard Galloway of Oneida, Thomas Galloway of
Apache Junction, AZ; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours are on Friday Sept. 27, 2013 from 1 to 3 p.m. followed
by a funeral service at 3 p.m. in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan
Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix, NY 13135. Deacon Frank
Forish will officiate. Burial at the conclusion of the funeral service
in Phoenix Rural Cemetery, 126 Chestnut St., Phoenix, NY.
