Obituary for Joseph E. "Joe Bud" Mulcahy Us Army Ret.

CSM Joseph E. “Joe” “Bud” Mulcahy, US Army Retired, 83, of Pennellville,

passed away at home on December 31, 2015. He was born in Syracuse on

Jan 21, 1932 to his late parents, Leona (Durval) and William F. Mulcahey.

Joe attended the University of Maryland.


Buds military career lasted 30 years, from 1949 to 1979. He served in Korea

and Vietnam, as an infantryman, earning a Purple Heart; a Silver Star;

a Bronze Star Medal; as well as many citations and accolades.


Joe was a life member of the Phoenix Memorial Post, VFW Post 5540,

Phoenix; he also belonged to various service related organizations.


Joe was predeceased by his brothers and sisters.


Surviving are his two sons, Thomas U. Mulcahy of Riverdale (Bronx) NY,

and Daniel S. Mulcahy of Elmhurst (Queens), NY; one sister-in-law,

Dorothy Mulcahey; several nieces and nephews; one cousin.


Calling hours are on Tuesday January 5, from 2 to 6 p.m. in the Allanson-

Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix, NY 13135.


Services are on Wednesday January 6, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, 8668 Co. Rt. 57, Baldwinsville

(Clay). A compliment of US Army honor squad, VFW Post 5540 honor squad,

and the Patriot Guard honor team.
