John  P. Cullen, 77, of Genesee St., Auburn, NY passed away on Sunday January 15, 2012.  Born to his late parents, Helen (Van Tassell) and Thomas Cullen in Syracuse.  He was an independent distributor for the Auburn Citizen and the Palladium-Times newspapers at one time.  John’s shinning achievement came at the age of 76, when he graduated from Cayuga Community College, Auburn, class of 2010.  He was the oldest known graduate of the school, says his family.  John was predeceased by brothers and sisters.  Surviving are his two brothers, Thomas and Charles Cullen; three sisters, Mary Woolson, Teresa (Converse) Kimball, and Patricia Matzke; several nieces and nephews.  Services were on January 19. Spring burial in Phoenix Rural Cemetery.  Contributions may be made directly to the family.
