Obituary for Jeannette L. Minnoe (Earl)
Lois Jeannette Minnoe, 92, of Sterling, CO, formally of Phoenix, NY and Mexico,
NY and New Port Richey, FL, passed away September 8, 2022 in Sterling, CO.
Graveside service will be held on September 24, 2022 at 11:00 am at Chase
Cemetery, 9450 State Rt. in Lysander, NY. Celebrant Cynthia Saarie officiating.
Jeannette was born January 1, 1930, in Harrisville, NY to Roy and Doris (Cronk)
Earl. On April 12, 1947, she married the love of her life, Gerald Minnoe in Phoenix,
NY. They were married for 65 years. She attended schools in Harrisville and
Phoenix NY.
“Jan” loved to crochet, making many gifts for her family and friends. She enjoyed
reading and doing puzzles. Jan and Gerry spent countless days boating around
the Oswego River and many of the lakes in Upstate NY. They owned a “camp”
along the Oswego River that they frequented every chance they got. After
retirement, they moved to New Port Richey, FL and were very active in their
community. Jan held several officer positions at Gardens of Beacon Square and
loved spending time with fellow snowbirds. Later in life, Jan and Gerry moved to
Sterling, CO. Jan was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Phoenix
and Mexico, NY and the Westminster Presbyterian Church in New Port Richey, FL.
Jeannette is survived by her son, Ralph (Joy) Minnoe of Summerville, SC.
Daughter, Alane Nightingale of Iliff, CO. Grandson, Jeffery Minnoe of Summerville,
SC. Granddaughter Jen (Brian) Grauberger of Iliff, CO and six great-grandchildren,
Brandi, Kenzie, Gerry, Riley, Jack, and Kane. Brother, Dale (Mary) Earl of Fulton,
NY. And numerous nieces and nephews.
Jeannette was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Minnoe. Grandson,
Gerry Minnoe. Brother, David Earl. Son-in-law, William Nightingale. And Parents,
Roy and Doris Earl.
