Obituary for Ina Florence Manuel
Ina Florence Manuel, 96, former Pennellville, NY resident, passed
away at Central Park Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center,
Syracuse, NY on Saturday July 15, 2017. Born in the town of
VanBuren to her late parents Florence (Howe) and Harvey Turner
on September 29, 1920. She was a homemaker. Ina enjoyed her
gardening. She was a delight to be around, loved by all who knew
her. A special thank you to the staff members at the Central Park
Healthcare home for the loving care given to Ina.
Ina was predeceased by her husband Everette G. Manuel; her
grandson William “Rusty” Carlton; brothers and sisters.
Surviving are her daughter Nancy S. (Bill) Steding; five grand
children Mary Lou Mills, Roberta Welch, Bill Steding, II, Shelley
Sadler, and Pamela Parsons; 14 great-grandchildren; four
great-great grandchildren; one brother Elias (Bev) Turner; one
sister Ruth Lancaster; a sister-in-law Josie Turner; many nieces,
nephews, cousins, and friends.
A funeral service to honor Ina will be on Monday July 24, 2017
at 11 a.m. in the Pennellville United Methodist Church, 389
County Route 54, Pennellville, NY 13132, with the Rev. Jeff
Hodge officiating. A private burial will at the family’s convenience will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Warners, NY. Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, Phoenix, NY has care of arrangements.
