Obituary for Gerald Bernard "Bunker" Minnoe

Gerald Bernard “Bunker” Minnoe, 82, former Phoenix, NY, Mexico, NY, and New Port Richey, FL resident, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2012, in Sterling, CO. Bunker was born on November 6, 1929 to his late parents, Gerald B. and Lois (Waldron) Minnoe. On April 12, 1947, he married the love of his life, Jeannette L. Earl in Phoenix, NY. Gerry was a member and officer of the Phoenix United Methodist Church, longtime member of the Phoenix Volunteer Fire Dept., a mason with Callimachus Lodge, # 369, F & AM, Phoenix, and the Lions Club, Mexico, NY. Bunker is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Jeannette of Sterling, CO; a son, Ralph (Charlotte) Minnoe of Charleston, SC; a daughter, Alane (William) Nightingale of Lliff, CO; a grandson, Jeffery (Tammy) of Summerville, SC; a granddaughter, Jen (Brian) Grauberger of Lliff, CO; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert (Lois) Minnoe of Baldwinsville; sisters, Mary (Wayne) Marsh of Phoenix, and Connie marsh of FL; a brother-in-law and close friend, Dale (Mary) Earl of Fulton; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceaded in death by his grandson, Gerry Minnoe; and seven sisters. Services are on Saturday September 15, 2012 at 10 a.m. in the Phoenix United Methodist Church, 49 Jefferson St., Phoenix, NY 13135, with the Rev. Susan Townsend officiating. Burial will be in Chase Cemetery, 9450 State Route 48, Phoenix, NY.
