Obituary for Gerald B. “Bunker Minnoe

Gerald B. “Bunker Minnoe, 82, former Phoenix, NY, Mexico, NY and New Port Richey, FL resident passed away in Sterling, CO on Thursday, May 24, 2012. Bunker was born on November 6, 1929 to his late parents, Gerald B. and Lois (Waldron) Minnoe. On April 12, 1947, he married the love of his life, Jeannette L. Earl in Phoenix, NY. Gerry was a member and officer of the Phoenix United Methodist Church, longtime member of the Phoenix Volunteer Fire Dept., and the Lions Club of Mexico, NY. Bunker is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Jeannette of Sterling, CO; a son, Ralph (Charltotte) Minnoe of Charleston, SC; a daughter, Alane (William) Nightingale of Iliff, CO; a grandson, Jeffery (Tammy) Minnoe of Summerville, SC; a granddaughter, Jen (Brian) Grauberger of Iliff, CO; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert (Lois) Minnoe of Baldwinsville; sisters, Mary (Wayne) Marsh of Phoenix, NY and Connie Marsh of FL; a brother-in-law and close friend, Dale (Mary) Earl of Fulton; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandson, Gerry A. Minnoe and seven sisters. Services are on Saturday September 15, 2012 at 10 a.m. in the Phoenix United Methodist Church, 49 Jefferson St., Phoenix, NY 13135, with the Rev. Susan S. Townsend officiating. Burial will follow in Chase Cemetery, 9450 State Route 48, Phoenix, NY.
