Francis E. Wright, 85, of Phoenix, NY passed
away on Thursday October 2, 2014 at St. Joseph’s
Hospital Health Center, Syracuse. Born in
Downsville, NY (Deleware Co.), on October 4,
1928 to his late parents, Rita (Snyder) and Harold
Wright. After high school, Francis served in the U. S.
Army, 1950-53 stateside and in Germany.
He was employed by General Electric Co., Syr
acuse, retiring in 1990. A member of the First
Congregational, U.C.C. church, Phoenix; the
G. E. Century Club Survivors.
Predeceased by his loving wife of 47 years, Norma
G. (Niles) Wright on August 19, 1994; his son, Jack
L. Wright, Sr., on August 26, 2012.
Survivors include his daughter-in-law, Theresa M.
Darling-Wright of Fulton; four grandchildren, Mary
Jane Wright, Jack L. Wright, Jr., Jeremy Wright, Sr.,
all of Fulton, and Nathanael Darling and his wife
Christine of Phoenix;
four great-grandchildren, Jacob, Emma,
Jeremy, Jr., and Natalie; one sister, Fannie W.
and brother-in-law, Ziggy Feurherm of Fort Plain, NY.
Calling hours are on Sunday October 5, 2014 from
2 to 4 p.m. in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral
Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix. Services will be on
Monday October 6, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home,
with the Rev. Richard H. Scheffler, Pastor Emeritus
officiating. Military honors will also be conducted.

Phoenix, NY 13135.
