Obituary for Florence Orvilla Froats (Schulz)
Florence Orvilla Froats, 89, of Phoenix, NY passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday February 18, 2023 with her family by her side. Born in the Belgium hamlet of Lysander township on September 19, 1933 to her late parents Florence D. (Van Amber) and Frank Monroe Schulz. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Sharon (Boisey) Wilkinson; her former husband Donald Boisey; and beloved husband Wesley Froats. Besides raising her family she worked in the Phoenix Central School District; and the former Phoenix Press Company. She was a local Avon Lady sales representative for the Avon Company for many years. Florence was a former member of the Phoenix Elizabeth Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, Phoenix, NY.
She is survived by her daughters Florence Marshelle Kimball (Dennis Kimball), Debra Renfrew (Ernest Renfrew), and Rhoda Lauth (Greg Lauth) all of Phoenix; son-in-law Dale Wilkinson of Pennellville; eleven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; her companion Robert Archambo of West Monroe; several friends and acquaintances.
Florence loved camping, boating, cruises, and most of all she loved her family. She also loved painting and traveling taking many trips when she could. Florence eventually spent her winters in Florida with her companion Robert.
Calling hours are on Saturday February 25, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.. A Celebration of her Life event will follow the visitation hours at 1:00 p.m.. Family and friends are encouraged to become part of her celebration and are welcomed to participate. Burial will take place following the celebration of her life in Riverview Cemetery, 70 Tappan Street, Baldwinsville, NY.
