Emma Ruth Mills, 85, of Phoenix, NY,

passed away on Thursday July 10, 2014.

Born to her late parents, Nora (MacDougall)

and Clifford Holmes on April 30, 1929. She

was a homemaker.

Emma was a member of the Mt. Pleasant

United Methodist Church.

She was predeceased by her husband of

45 years, Edward A. Mills, Sr., on Feb. 18,

1999.

Surviving are her four sons, Edward A.

Mills, Jr., Roger Mills, Clifford Mills, and

Lance Mills; six daughters, Connie Mills

Soppe, Adell Kenyon, Shelli Wilcox, Terri

Mills Laurrie Porter, and Beckie Hawley;

several grandchildren; many great and

great-great grandchildren; sisters, Judy

and Sally; brothers, Jerry and Harry,

several nieces, nephews, cousins.

Calling hours are on Wednesday July 16,

from 5 to 7 p.m., followed by a funeral

service at 7 p.m. all in the Allanson-Glanville-

Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix,

with the Rev. Shawn Porter officiating. Burial

will be on Friday July 18, at 11 a.m. in

Phoenix Rural Cemetery, 126 Chestnut St.,

Phoenix, NY 13135.
