Dorothy J. Deming-Marsh, 97, of Syracuse, passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021 with family by her side. She was born in Newark, NJ on January 18, 1924, and raised by Harry and Elsie (Hutton) York. Dorothy was the secretary for Phoenix and Hannibal Schools, as well as the Phoenix United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling the world and loved dogs of all kinds. Dorothy is predeceased by her first husband, Edwin J. Deming, and her second husband, Paul C. Marsh.

She is survived by her children, Carol E. Campana and Robert (MaryAnn) Deming; grandchildren, Michael T. (Erica) Deming, Stephen A. (Kathryn) Deming, Daniel E. (Amanda) Deming; great-grandchildren, Reilly M., Chase P., Keagan J., and Gabriella N.; brother, Jack York; and her beloved dog Hope.

Calling Hours will be held from 5 - 7 PM, on Friday, March 19, 2021 at Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix, NY 13135. Funeral Services will follow Calling Hours at 7 PM. Interment will take place in Hannibal Center Cemetery at a later date.
