Charlotte M. Key, 78, former Pennellville, NY resident, passed
away on Friday July 14, 2017 at Oswego Hospital. She was
born in Chaffee, NY to her late parents, Emma (Blum) and
August Rakoska on January 21, 1939.
Charlotte was a waitress at LeMoyne Manor restaurant in
Liverpool, NY for over 40 years. Some of her passions were
her Home Bureau and the friendships she developed with the
group of ladies. She also enjoyed canning, baking, and making
her own jams, jellies, and mini loaves of bread for the local craft
shows. Her real joy in life was making sure those around her
smiled, felt comfortable, and making sure they never left her
home hungry.
Charlotte was predeceased by her husband of 53 years,
Clifford C. Key on June 10, 2012.
Surviving are her sons Patrick A. (Terry) Key of Palermo and
Brian J. (Susan) Key of Chittenango; and stepchildren Gale S.
(Nick) Smith of Manlius, and Larry Gillespie of SC; eight grand
children Jessica, Christopher, Brandon, Cheri, Drew, Scott,
Olivia, and Marietta; three great-grandchildren Nova, Sagan,
and the newest Easton Leslie Key; her twin sister Caroline
(Lloyd) Neamon of Arcade; several great nieces and nephews
in the area.
Calling hours are on Friday July 21, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
at the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St.,
Phoenix, NY. Services are on Saturday at 10 a.m. July 22 in
the Palermo United Methodist Church, 11 County Rt. 35,
Fulton, NY, with the Rev. Tammy Nipper officiating.
Burial in Phoenix Rural Cemetery, 126 Chestnut St., Phoenix.
