Obituary for Betty M. Kirkpatrick

Betty M. Kirkpatrick, 92, of Schroeppel (Pennellville),

passed away on Wednesday March 7, 2018 at

Massena Memorial Hospital. Born to her late parents,

Florence Mary (Workman) and Richard William Muskell

in Oswego, NY on Dec. 8, 1925. Employed by

Phoenix Central Schools for 15 years in the cafeteria.

Betty was a member of the First Congregational, UCC,

Phoenix, the Red Hat Society, Bunco Club, and a

volunteer at the Sr. Nutrition Ctr. at church. She was

a joy to be around, pleasant to all and sense of humor.

She was predeceased by her husband Clarence R.

Kirkpatrick in 1989; her son-in-law Robert Wanke in 2012;

her sister Barbara Tilden in 2006.

Surviving are her daughters Judith A. Wanke of Massena,

and Patricia E. Ellsworth of Pennellville; five grandchildren,

Amanda (Ellsworth) Gilmore, Kevin Ellsworth, Aaron Wanke,

Drew Wanke, and Ashley (Wanke) Johnson; three great-

grandchildren Isaac Wanke, Lincoln Johnson, and Olan

Johnson; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Services and calling hours are on Saturday March 10,

from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan

Funeral Home, Phoenix, followed by a funeral at 7 p.m. in

the funeral home with Pastor Karen Marshall officiating.

Spring Burial in Phoenix Rural Cemetery, 126 Chestnut St.
