Benjamin O. Knight, 80, of Syracuse, NY,

passed away on Saturday January 11, 2014.

Born in Phoenix, NY to his late parents, Myrtle

(Phelps) and John A. Knight on Sept. 9, 1933.

A graduate of Phoenix High School. He later

served in the US Army, Korea. Bennie retired

from the US Postal Service, Syracuse. He

loved organ music and organ recitals; and a

good dancer.


He was predeceased by his brother, Richard

Knight; his step-mother, Bertha L. Knight.


Surviving are his sister, Esther Morgan of

Brooklet, GA; his sister-in-law, Billie Knight of

Thompson Station, TN; his aunt, Phyllis Stone

of Tucson, AZ; his nieces, Karen Nellis Scusa,

Linda Morgan Murphy; his nephew, Jim Morgan;

his close cousins, Joyce Philips Helbock, Ann

Weaver Barnett, along with several cousins; and

his close friend, Carl Fetterman.


Calling hours will be on Friday January 17, 2014

from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan

Funeral Home,431 Main St., Phoenix, NY 13135.


The interment will occur in the Spring in Hillside

Memorial Cemetery, Central Square, NY 13036

with military honors.
