Obituary for Ann Elizabeth Burdick (Schieffelin)

Ann Elizabeth Burdick, 73, of Fulton, NY, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Friday January 14, 2022. Born in Buffalo, NY on March 01, 1948 to her late parents.Helen (Campbell) and Edward Schieffelin. After graduating high school, she earned her associates degree.

Known for a smile that could light up a room, Ann loved veterans, sunny days, travelling, reading, gardening, quilting, cooking, Dachshunds, Carin Terroirs, and Siamese Cats. She was an avid thrift shopper who collected hammered aluminum and colored glass candy dishes and goblets. She was also a devout Catholic with a strong spiritual dedication to Mother Mary.

Besides her parents, Ann was predeceased by her sister Gertrude Smith.


Surviving are her loving husband of 40 years, David V. Burdick; two sons, Michael C. Scharlau and Robert L. Scharlau; one brother, Edward Schieffelin; one sister Norma Gonnella; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Thursday April 21, 2022, from 12 noon to 2 pm at the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan funeral home, 431 Main St., Phoenix, NY, followed by a 2 p.m. service with Pastor Dean Fleming officiating the service. Burial at the convenience of the family in Our Lady of Peace Catholic Cemetery, 8668 County Route 57, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
