Albert W. Sitts, Sr.

Albert Wesley Sitts, Sr., 88, of Phoenix, NY, passed away on Tuesday August 11, 2020, at the VA Medical Center, Syracuse, NY.He was born on September 21, 1931 to Wesley and Goldie (Coleman) Sitts in Pennellville, NY. Albert proudly served with the US Marine Corp. He was a highly active member of the Callimachus Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons #369, in Phoenix, where he served with many concordant bodies. Albert was R.W. and Commander General of Grand Post Masonic War Veterans of New York State. HE was an avid Yankees Fan, Pinochle player and animal lover. Albert is predeceased by his companion of 26 years, Beverly Foster, who passed in 2011; and siblings, Arthur Sitts, Edith Stevens, and Melvin Sitts.

Albert is survived by his son, Albert W. Sitts, Jr.; sisters, Erma Lyboult, Frances McDowell, Clara Belle Geller, Nancy Raymond and Marilyn Alfano; two grandsons; one great-grandson; and his caregiver and niece, Lucy West McDowell.

Calling Hours, with a Masonic Service planned to follow, will be held Sunday, 11 AM - 1 PM, at Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix, NY. Standard NYS Covid-19 restrictions will be in place.

A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at Sandridge Cemetery, Schroeppel, NY.
